Duel Storms Kill 15 Christmas Day

Luke 21:25,26 “There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

A duel set of storms, one a blizzard that hit the northern part of the US, and the other an outbreak of tornadoes in the south, has left at least 15 people dead and dozens more homeless or injured.

In addition, hundreds of thousands of people are without power in the northeast and upper Midwest due to heavy snow, ice and winds.

The National Weather Service is predicting up to 18 more inches of snow for New England before the storm moves into the Atlantic Ocean. High winds and temperatures well below freezing have created very dangerous travel conditions on roadways with near-zero visibility.

Across the south, over 34 tornadoes have been confirmed resulting in deaths in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. A church in Mobile, Alabama had its roof ripped off when a tornado roared through town.
