Federal Judge Blocks North Dakota Abortion Ban

Matthew 19:18 ESV “And Jesus said, “You shall not murder…”

Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.

Abortion promoters were overjoyed that a federal judge has issued a temporary injunction against North Dakota’s law protecting the lives of unborn babies after a fetal heartbeat is detected.

U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland granted the injunction to the pro-abortion Center for Reproductive Rights.

The law was scheduled to go into effect on August 1 and would have been the strictest laws protecting the lives of unborn babies in the United States. The law required abortion clinics to perform an ultrasound on a woman 24 hours before a scheduled abortion.

The director of the Red River Women’s Clinic, an abortion provider, said she was “pleased and relieved” abortions can continue as they have been at the clinic. Tammi Kromenaker said that 90 percent of the babies that would have been saved by the law could now be aborted with the injunction against the law in place.

The Center for Reproductive Rights is also suing against two other measure aimed at protecting unborn children, one that would prevent abortion due to genetic defects and the other banning abortion due to gender selection.
