Kenyan President Declares Mall Siege Over

Revelation 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta says the four day siege by Islamist terrorists at the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi is over.

In a televised statement to the nation, Kenyatta said that 5 terrorists had been shot and killed during the battle with police and 11 other terrorists have been taken into custody.

He declared three days of national mourning for the dead beginning Wednesday.

The death toll stood at 67 with 6 soldiers joining the previously announced total of 61 civilians. At least 62 people are still hospitalized with various wounds and many more people were seeking counseling for shock.

“I promise that we shall have a full accountability for the mindless destruction, deaths, pain, loss and suffering we have all undergone as a national family,” Kenyatta said. “These cowards will meet justice, as will their accomplices and patrons, wherever they are.”

Somalian terrorist group al-Shabab claimed credit for the attack.
