Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.
The West Virginia legislature has passed a bill that would ban most abortions after 20 weeks and have sent it to the governor for his signature.
House Bill 4588, called the “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act,” says that except in the case of medical emergency no abortion may be performed or induced unless the doctor performing the abortion has made a determination of the post fertilization age of the unborn child.
West Virginians for Life released a statement hailing the bill’s passage, saying it will protect West Virginia’s unborn babies and fulfills the state’s interest in making sure unborn children do not experience pain.
“Scientific research demonstrates that unborn babies can feel pain beginning by at least 20 weeks after conception,” the group said.
Pro-abortion groups in the state are making the normal claims that the bill takes away abortion rights.
West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin has expressed concerns in the past that the bill won’t stand up to a challenge in court.
Praise God this Bill passed. We need to end abortion all together. The Light shines on all darkness. It is not a mass of tissue. It is a baby. A gift from God. We need to stand up and pass more laws to end aborton. Jesus is LORD.
You are right Jim. Remember too that more old people are being euthenized then you can imagine. A group that everyone thinks is so wonderful (helped) my dad die by taking away his water and food. They said he was brain dead…but when I prayed with him, tears rolled down his precious cheeks. These days; when your old, it doesn’t pay to have a lot of money or life insurance that greedy hands are reaching out for. Our main problem Jim is that we have no real fear of God. We foolishly want to believe that crying a couple tears and asking Him to forgive us set us up to keep dancing with the devil and Father God just winks at us. From experience I can tell you that the first thing that happens to us when we die, we stand before ‘the’ judge. You don’t believe it? Wait and see. Been there!
At least, it’s worth a try to save as many babies as possible, until the law is challenged. The law might stand, after all!
It s a start. lets hope all of people ,at least will get together and live more chaste and pure lives.
