Wildfires Rage Across Western US

Acts 2:19  And I will show wonders in the sky above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.

Thousands of acres of land have been destroyed due to wildfires raging across the western US according to wildlife officials. The US Forest Service reported 62 large and uncontained fires in Idaho, Nevada, Utah and California.

In Washington, a fire has burned 60 houses and 24,000 acres since it started on Monday. The town of Cle Elum in central Washington has been evacuated although civilians and firefighters have reported no injuries.

The fast moving fire passed within six miles of Ellenburg, WA. The fire is believed to have started on a bridge construction site. Wind, heat and drought conditions are making it harder for firefighters to contain the flames.

In Idaho, 20-year-old firefighter Anne Veseth was killed when a tree fell on her while fighting a fire. A federal investigation has been launched into the death.

A fire in Utah believed to have been started by lightning has consumed over 21,800 acres. The fire is threatening herds of wild horses and has forced the closure of the Pony Express Road that runs through the state’s western desert area.

Fires are raging in multiple locations in California including four in San Diego County that is threatening to cut off power to several communities. A fire in the Plumas National Forest has threatened 600 homes and burned over 35,200 acres.

  1. It’s not just Revelation they don’t want to hear. They don’t want to hear anything from Deuteronomy 28.15 or Matthew 24 either. My family seems too busy working and playing . . . it’s like, don’t bother me.
