At least 52 people are confirmed dead after a massive tornado roared through the Oklahoma City area on Monday afternoon.

Moore, Oklahoma bore the full brunt of the twister described as almost two miles wide.  Scientists have said the tornado was at least an EF-4 with winds of 200 mph. (200 mph is the maximum level for an EF-4.) Continue reading

Oklahoma City Trailer Park Destroyed By Tornado

A tornado that was part of a massive storm that struck the Midwest destroyed an Oklahoma City trailer park.

A storm spotter said the ground at the park was “scoured” after the tornado roared through Sunday afternoon.  Reports of injuries were scarce early Sunday evening as overturned tractor-trailers on Interstate 40 are blocking rescue workers from reaching the park. Continue reading

Tornado Strikes Edmond, Oklahoma

Properties were damaged, some significantly, but no one was seriously hurt when a tornado ripped through Edmond, Oklahoma on Sunday.

Around 3:47 p.m., sirens began to sound in Edmond as the twister touched down near Broadway and 15th Street.  The tornado then crossed Interstate 35 causing damage to the exterior of a soon-to-be-opened medical center. Continue reading
