Great opposition has risen from the birth of Lori’s House. Pastor Jim Bakker has met the resistance head on. The public does not really know the details that go into the operation of a home like this. The home is meeting resistance because it is said to be “trashy.” Pictures that are shown prove this elegant home would be a haven for any mother looking for a place of comfort and serenity.

Lori’s House will have apartments within the main home. There will be a community living room and also a large gourmet kitchen for the girls to feel at home. While this project will take dedication and a great deal of money, Pastor Jim is determined to meet with the man who is causing the problems to show him exactly the vision God has given him.

This is not a home for battered or abused women, but a home for girls. These girls may be scared because most of them will be unwed and have nowhere to turn. Lori’s House will give them a real alternative to abortion. This home will have counselors, doctors and a full staff to support them and show them the love of God.

The girls will learn skills while staying at Lori’s House such as cooking, sewing and how to take care of a baby properly. They will also be given the opportunity to learn a career that will support herself and her baby.

Pastor Jim believes the great resistance to Lori’s House comes from people’s fear of their taxes going up. They have been told that the Bakker’s would build less than desirable buildings that would degrade the area. It will take millions of dollars to complete this home, but the blessings of God will outshine the stirring of the devil that is happening.

In an effort to raise money for Lori’s House, the little lambs and fluffy blankets are being offered as Presentes de amor. These offers will give these girls and their unborn babies a chance in life that they might not have had. America is murdering babies. Lori’s House offers a way for Christians to rise up and help those who think they have no other option but abortion.

Lori recalls a powerful, life-changing event that happened to her. She was staying in a cabin all alone in Flagstaff, AZ. She was bored and turned on the television. She found that the 700 Club was on. They showed a movie called “The Silent Scream”. She had always believed what Planned Parenthood had told her, but this day she learned the truth. It was not a blob of tissue, the fetus is a living thing that can scream and knows what is going on. She felt this was a life changing event. The creation of Lori’s House is so important to help save the millions of unborn babies that are being destroyed.
