Dallas Pastor Warns Hobby Lobby Victory Could Be Short Lived

Mark 13:13 “You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”

While millions of American Christians are celebrating the Supreme Court’s decision protecting religious freedom, one prominent Baptist pastor is cautiously warning that the celebration of freedom may be short lived.

Pastor Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Church in Dallas says that while the Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling “stopped the greatest attempted assault on religious liberty in history”, the case is a sign that the government is going to increase attempts to strip away the religious freedom of Christians.

“The Obama administration was basically saying that you can be religious and pro-life in your church, synagogue or at home on the weekend, but when you go to work on Mondays, you have to give up those beliefs and become pro-abortion,” Jeffress said to the Christian Post. “There is no such thing in the Constitution as the separation of faith from the rest of your life.”

Jeffress said that the mainstream media and pro-abortion activists have been repeating the complete lie that those who want to protect the life of unborn children are nothing more than religious fringe extremists.

“It is a part of the belief system of tens of millions of Protestants, Catholics, Jewish people and people of all faiths,” he said. “This country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. In this ruling, I think the court is very sound in saying that we have the right to uphold and exercise those beliefs.”

  1. Love, love, love Dr. Jeffress. He is a rare breed amongst American pastors today. He adheres to sound Bible doctrine and couples it with such genuine, Christ-loving compassion, always pointing people to the cross of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Jeffress would be an outstanding guest for at least a week on the wonderful ‘Jim Bakker Show’.

  2. I agree as well!!! It still ain’t over yet, as far as Satan himself is concerned! Attacks upon well-intended devout Christians will continue – even from the Apostate Church – until Christ comes back. So, let’s get “used to it” already, and PREPARE to fight the “good fight” of faith, in Christ! The victory’s ours already in Him! God can NEVER lose – even during times of persecution of the saints!

  3. I rejoice that good judges who still believe in a higher Judge and choose to be just in their reasoning that aligns with the will of The Most High God, to side with right to life than those who promote the death culture is commendable. It is sure a good direction for this blessed nation to to again re- think why we need to repent, pray and watch unceasingly for our beloved by The Lord Jesus, good, young USA AND GIVE THANKS AND PRAISE TO THE HOLY TRIUNE GOD, FATHER, JESHUA, AND PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT! Cheer up! Jesus has conquered the world and the gates of hell shall not prevail even in times of persecution on our True Faith in a merciful and just Lord and mighty God! Alleluia, forever!

  4. I fear this Pastor is probably right! However, we have to stand strong in The Lord & stand together as sisters & brothers in The Lord. The saddest thing to me is when I hear Christians say, “well it’s ok to have an abortion if there may be a “problem” with the baby & you know ahead of time! What a deceitful lie from the pit of hell! I have several friends that have children with Downs Syndrome & they would NEVER trade that child for any other! I personally LOVE downs children & have learned many a lesson from them….what love & acceptance they exemplify! To make it clear, God forgives & loves anyone that has had an abortion…just like he forgives ANY other sin! That’s just what an AMAZING GOD we serve & Love!
