France Economy Back In Recession

Revelation 6:5,6 NCV When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse, and its rider held a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard something that sounded like a voice coming from the middle of the four living creatures. The voice said, "A quart of wheat for a day's pay, and three quarts of barley for a day's pay, and do not damage the olive oil and wine!"

France’s economy entered its second recession in four years according to data covering the first quarter of 2013.

The economy shrank two tenths of a percent in the first quarter of 2013 after having the same decline in the last quarter of 2012. President Francois Hollande now predicts zero growth for the country in 2013, less than previous government projections of .1% growth.

The economy of the 17-nation Eurozone is continuing in a recession for the sixth straight quarter. Nine of the 17 nations are individually in recession, according to EU’s statistics office.

The strongest economy in the Eurozone, Germany, grew by only .1% in the first quarter.

France’s unemployment is at a record high of 10.6% and expected to climb further during the year. However, the country is still below the Eurozone average of 11.4% at the end of 2012. Greece and Spain lead the Eurozone with 27% unemployment.
