NOAA Confirms Tsunami On U.S. East Coast

Luke 21:25,26 “There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a statement confirming a tsunami struck the East Coast of the United States on June 13.

More than 30 tide gauges along the East Coast plus Bermuda and Puerto Rico reported tsunami incidents. The highest peak of the waves were recorded in Newport, Rhode Island where the ocean rose one foot over sea level.

A witness in Ocean County, New Jersey told CBS that he saw a strong out rush of water around 3:30 p.m. on June 13th that swept divers over a breakwater and into the open ocean and eventually showed the rocks in the breakwater that are normally up to four feet deep.

Then a 6-foot wave came in carrying the divers back over the breakwater and sweeping thee people off rocks that are usually six feet above the water.

Two of the people required medical attention.

Scientists have not been able to pinpoint a cause for the tsunami but NOAA said storms moving through the region could have contributed to the incident.
