Powerful Move On Grace Street With Luke Holter

Evening-Worship-with-Gary-&-Kim-KoreibaThe opening night of the huge 4th of July Celebration featured a strong move of God.

The service opened with Kevin Shorey introducing the worship leaders for the night. They weren’t your typical worship leaders! CCM Dove award nominated vocalist Kim Boyce and her husband Gary Koreiba lead people into the presence of Christ and brought many people to tears.

There was a special moment when Pastor Jim Bakker spoke with Kim & Gary about their family and friends. He shared about the importance of family and how all of us as sons and daughters of God are a part of God’s family.

Then the leader of Prophetic Sheep Ministries and world-renowned prophet Dr. Luke Holter delivered the Word.

He shared his testimony about being a drug addict. He said that his parents would pray for him and had great dreams of how he would minister for the Lord. They believed that God would work a miracle if they could have him meet men like Bobby Connor.

“And now God has me ministering around the world with these men,” Luke said.

He said God told him that he was to go into full-time ministry while in an emergency room where he was recovering from an overdose.

“This is a privilege and not a right to be up here,” he said.

Luke then challenged the crowd that when you go into worship to not bring the sins of the week in with you.

“Jesus told me that when I focus on my mistakes at the start of worship, I’m worshipping my mistakes rather than worshipping Him,” he said.

Then after prayer, he prophesied over Kim Boyce and Gary Koreiba that God has “a song in you for the underdog. I see these baby birds and you are singing over them and healing them. The Lord says ‘you haven’t seen anything yet.’”

He then spoke about prophecy.

“It’s a two way street,” Luke said. “You still have to do your part relationally to farm your prophetic word!”

He then shared this passage from Matthew:

And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:11-14 ESV)

Here are some of the remaining highlights of Luke’s talk:

There is a very real war in love. It doesn’t take long to find that in the world. The enemy has launched a campaign to say “this is what love looks like.” The church says “this is what love looks like.” Jesus is in the middle saying “THIS is what God looks like.”

God loves everyone. But that is not approval of lifestyle. Jesus is not sitting in a Starbucks in skinny jeans saying you can do whatever you want.

There’s nothing more trendy or hip than the Word of God.

The word “deny” in the Bible is “contradict.” So Jesus is saying if you contradict me before the world, I will contradict you before God.

Jesus loved [the woman caught in adultery] enough to address the issue that was keeping her from Him.

I didn’t come back to the church because it made me feel comfortable. I didn’t come back because it looked like a nightclub.

Open your church to the prophetic because that builds community.

We have a whole lot of relationships but not a lot of friendships. That’s why it’s so easy to walk away from people in church. When people that are jacked up to come in church, some of the cruelest people in the world were Christians. It wasn’t Christians who helped me get off drugs. It was my friends – atheists, homosexuals, that held me down as I came off them.

I assure you God is not OK [with sin].

I believe this year is a year of restoration of the fallen in the faith.

He then spoke about Ezekiel 37 and how that chapter is about restoration.

I believe that February 2015 will be a love song from God. It will be a renewal of the love vow.

I believe Christians should have the best music, the best movies, the best television because we have the greatest inspiration!

Pastors, you’re living on old money. You need to reach the lost. It’s the lost that’s renewed that will fund things. It’s not about money but there’s a financial crisis in the church. And God is saying ‘what are you going to do when that money dies?’

The Lord showed me a vision of treasure chests that were people sitting on piles of money and God said “I want to shake that money in the church” but [pastors] are complaining [about the lost].

Here’s what I’m going to do tonight. I’m going to pull out your theology, kick it around a little bit.

It’s time for Christians to grow up, get out of their diapers!

The Holy Spirit wants to take us places our taboos can’t go. There are places Jesus wants to go that you won’t go because of your religious hang ups.

They allowed what we don’t allow…the Holy Spirit to do work in somebody.

There is power in love! Love is what works! It’s not picketing, it’s not cursing, it’s speaking love over them. Love changes everything.

You’ve got to go through the wind, the fire and the earthquake to keep your character when you’re promoted on the other side. (Referring to 1 Kings 19:11-13)

God’s always after your character. Always. God will never leave you how He found you.

There are many Christians sitting in a church that have never matured past the day they accepted Christ.

Are you being tested or is the Holy Spirit refining you? Are you being buffeted by the enemy or is the Holy Spirit convicting you?

You want the Holy Spirit goose bumps but you don’t want the conviction that comes with it.

We, as Christians, have to understand what is intertwined spiritually. The spirit of murder is tied to the spirit of pornography because it’s all about dehumanizing people.

If you’re making exceptions, then you’re showing a spirit of entitlement.

Let’s change the face of church. Let’s take it back to what it should be.

Don’t pacify yourself with things of the world because it’s like drinking salt water.

God is no respecter of persons and His grace goes further than we allow it some times.

God wrote a love song to the world and it sounds like Calvary. And you are that song. What are you singing to the world? Are you telling them to rejoice or are you singing a funeral song?

How many of you have heard “be in the world but not of the world”? That’s a popular verse we use to isolate the lost.

Evangelism isn’t about another number in a seat. You shouldn’t evangelize people you’re not going to pour time in to…that you’re going to disciple!

Be in the world, not of the world but most of us aren’t even in the world. Because of our own issues, we isolate the lost.

I think Christians need to bar hop. Do you realize how silly it is to think you could catch somebody’s addiction? It says to be careful when you restore someone so you don’t fall into sin. So many think it’s about falling into their same sin. But it’s really about falling into the sin of judgment as they’re being restored.

God’s a safe place for you to fail. And you fail. Are you a safe place for others to fail? Or do you put a yoke on others that you wouldn’t even carry yourself? The grace of God stretches so much farther than we would ever understand.

Sinners loved to be around Jesus. They felt loved by Jesus. Jesus often had dinner in the house of sinners but He ate the religious for breakfast.

And Levi made him a great feast in his house, and there was a large company of tax collectors and others reclining at table with them. And the Pharisees and their scribes grumbled at his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.” (Luke 5:29-32 ESV)

He didn’t come for professional Christians. He came for filthy fishermen!

His reputation was that he was a friend of sinners. What is your reputation?

Press past your own insecurities. Press past your own spiritual issues. Find broken people and tell them there is a God who is in love with you!

They counted Him as a friend of drunkards. As a friend of prostitutes. That’s who they said He was!

Christ is returning and we have an army to assemble. He wishes none should perish. But some of us have been saved so long we’ve lost our thankfulness.

I was a drug addict living with a lesbian. I had nothing. I had bad credit. I had NOTHING. And He found me in that darkness and saved me.

If a tall biker Santa Claus angel shows up at your place of employment and tells you to repent, just do it.

There are people all around you just wanting for you to show up and breathe life into them.

I wanted so badly for a Christian to reach out to me when I was lost. I even went to a pastor and asked him to pray for me and he said “you need to make an appointment with my secretary.” And he prayed for me “Lord, bless him as he comes and bless him as he goes.” And I felt so good a man of God prayed for me.

God is looking for a grass roots movement. That’s you. He’s not looking for professionals. He’s looking for filthy fishermen. And that’s you.

This is your word: You need to reach the lost. You need to reach broken people. It doesn’t mean you have to approve of what they’re doing. Do you know how many homosexuals are out there killing themselves because they think God could never love them? I had a woman come to me who was going to kill herself because she was a lesbian and someone told her that God could never love her. But she said that she believed me when I said God really loved her.

You were called to be a champion of compassion. To put on love like an armor to reach out to the suffering. I am going to pray that you become champions of compassion. That you would fight for the lost. That you would remember from where you came and reach out to the lost.

The world is dying and YOU HAVE THE CURE! YOU HAVE THE CURE INSIDE OF YOU!

You are a mobile Upper Room. You are called to walk around your region and to let the good news out from inside of you.

Where we don’t step up, the enemy does. He’s an opportunist.
