1 Peter 4:7 (NASB) “The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.”
There’s a lot that’s going to happen in the coming days, and when it does, you better be ready.
This time, I’m not talking about having food or water. I’m talking about having God in your life!
You need to be spiritually ready for everything that’s going to happen in these last days. Yes, it’s important to have your house in order, but you can’t forget about what’s most important – God!
God spoke to me about this recently, and I have to share his message with you.
He called my attention to 2nd Peter Chapter 3 (NCV). Not only does it say what will happen in these last days, and how the Earth will be destroyed, but it also tells us about how we need to be living TODAY!
Starting with Verses 11-14.
“In that way everything will be destroyed. So what kind of people should you be? You should live holy lives and serve God, as you wait for and look forward to the coming of the day of God. When that day comes, the skies will be destroyed with fire, and everything in them will melt with heat. But God made a promise to us, and we are waiting for a new heaven and a new earth where goodness lives. Dear friends, since you are waiting for this to happen, do your best to be without sin and without fault. Try to be at peace with God.”
Try to be at peace with God. Do what you can be to be without sin. Most importantly, and this is key, you should live holy lives and SERVE God! You need to do what He wants you to do!
God has a plan for all of us, and when things get really bad you better be where He wants you to be! You better stop moving around, some of you reading this, and find out where He wants you!
How do you do that? It isn’t hard at all!
You need to give your life back to God. Give him control. Just say “God, I turn everything over to you.” It’s that simple. He’ll bring you into a place of wisdom and begin to show you the way! He’ll show you HIS plans for you! He’ll show you exactly what He needs from you right now!
Remember, HE is the reason for all of this. HE is why we are here! And HE is the reason we will find salvation and eternal life. Without HIM, there isn’t any hope. There isn’t any salvation.
We need to remember that.
