Seek! (Pt. 3)

Sharon Couchman

Last week I mentioned this would be the conclusion of “Seek” but now I’ve decided there really is no end to this subject! This research started out as one installment but expanded to three! That’s what is so great about our God. As we grow closer to Him, the more there is to know about Him.

Seek! (Pt. 2)

Sharon Couchman

Let’s learn more about the benefits of seeking our Lord.

God’s Word instructs us to avoid evil. אבל, איך? The answer follows:

2 דברי הימים 12:14 – “And he did evil, because he did not prepare his heart to seek the Lord.” המשך הקריאה

Seek! (Pt. 1)

Sharon Couchman

There are many scriptures containing the word “seek” and I would like to share some that are relative for our daily living and essential for these end times.

So many today only seek God’s help in emergencies or when their lives are out of control. לאורך כל התנ"ך, there are numerous accounts of men and women who sought God when times were difficult and also in times of blessing.

While it is better to seek God than not seek Him at all, let’s look at the promises in the Word of God that come with consistently pursuing the Lord. המשך הקריאה

אלוהים בחרו בך!

Clete Snellenberger

אפסיים 1:3-6 — "ברוך אלוהים ואביו של אדוננו ישו, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, כי אנחנו צריכים להיות קדושים וללא אשמה לפניו באהבה: 5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6) To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Be Careful What You Think

בספר משלי 4:23 — “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life.” (NCV) “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” (KJV)

In the Greek, the word heart refers to your intellect and will. What that means to me is that it is very important to control what you put and retain in your mind. Does the Scripture not tell us to put on the mind of Christ? We need to think the way that Jesus thinks, to think about the things Jesus thought about and to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. ביוחנן 5:19, זה אומר, “But Jesus said, אני אומר לך את האמת, the Son can do nothing alone. The Son does only what He sees the Father doing, because the Son does whatever the Father does.” המשך הקריאה
