Carl Gallups “Do Not Be Ashamed!”

Carl Gallups blessed the Wednesday Night Ready Now Expo Service with wit, knowledge and biblical insights.  Speaking on the events happening in the world today, Pastor Gallups focused on the United States, it’s leadership and the current shying away by the church to discuss God’s Word and His laws. Pastor Gallups cited the recent words from Franklin Graham, “The government is trying to impose a new morality—which is really no morality at all—jamming it down the throats of the American people. America has been blessed by God more than any nation on the face of this earth. When our country was birthed, its foundations and laws were based on biblical laws and principles. We used to be ‘one nation under God,’ now we’re a nation that has turned its back on God. History shows that when nations do this, their end is near.”

Pastor Gallups explained, “There is an antichrist Spirit that permeates the United States.  It begins at the government level and has now invaded our Churches.  We must not be ashamed of the Words of Jesus! “

Explaining that we as Christians know what the Bible is teaching us, Pastor Gallups reminded the crowd that we know what is right and wrong according to the Word.  We have become afraid to speak out about the coming of Christ, about abortion, about the sanctity of marriage or even to mention Jesus for fear someone will get mad at us for it. “Christians in the Middle East are standing up and dying for their faith in Jesus Christ!  Little Children, thousands of people, whole families not willing to deny HIM! Yet we are afraid to talk about it?”

“It is time for the church to buck up!  It’s time for the church, pastors, and believers to SPEAK THE WORD!  As it gets darker, we MUST turn up the light!  We must stand up and say I am NOT ashamed of God’s Words!  I am not ashamed of Jesus Christ!”  Pastor Gallups exclaimed.  “Get into HIS Word, you have been raised up for such a time as this!  Do not let the world trample the Word of God!  Get out there and start shining the light!”

Pastor Carl Gallups concluded the evening with:

1 Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”

University of Michigan Hosts Abortion Glamorizing Exhibit

The University of Michigan is hosting an exhibition whose purpose is to glorify and glamorize abortion and even mock God with a poster claiming that God is a woman who endorses the killing of babies via abortion.

The horrific display, titled “4000 Years For Choice”, is an exhibition of posters promoting abortion practices through the years.  The University has a web page describing the exhibit as promoting a “means to reclaim reproductive freedom as a deeply personal and life-sustaining act.”

The exhibit also includes a poster that reads, “Abortion is a gift from God.”  However, the “O” in God is the universal symbol for a woman, implying that God is a woman and that “she” gave abortion to women so they didn’t have to worry about a child.

Other posters reading, “Abortion is a blessing” and “anything 46 million women do every year can’t be immoral.”

The program is sponsored by the Program for Sexual Rights and Reproductive Justice, an official arm of the University of Michigan.  The program receives public funding.  When questioned by The College Fix regarding whether the other point of view on abortion would be presented on campus, calls were referred to Planned Parenthood.

The University of Michigan administration has not issued a statement on using public funding to promote abortion.

Revelation 13 (Pt. 5)

He will also use deceptive signs, and he will be able to perform miracles in his efforts to win people’s allegiance to his boss (13:12–15). This is one reason why I so adamantly caution Christians not to be so enamored with miracles. Some Christians run from church to church, town after town, in search of the next big spiritual flash. Yes, our God does indeed do miracles. But be careful. Not every miracle comes from God! In ancient times, false prophets were able to perform miracles, whether real or through some form of chicanery, and in our time, we’ve seen our share of charlatans.

Now, John warned us that the False Prophet is going to wow people with miracles and “great signs,” even making fire come down out of heaven, as the prophet Elijah did and as the two witnesses to come will do in Jerusalem. Many people will be deceived by the False Prophet. This is the spirit of devils working miracles (16:14).

Although he may look and sound like a lamb, the antichrist’s beastly cohort is devious. He will establish a false religion, bringing all the world’s religions together and forming an umbrella religion designed to worship the antichrist (13:14–15), an eclectic, inclusive, tolerant religion. The only religious beliefs that will not be tolerated will be biblical Christianity. Can you not see that this is beginning to happen in the U.S. and throughout the world? Continue reading

Revelation 13 (Pt. 4)

The antichrist will speak powerful, blasphemous words, just as the prophet Daniel predicted (Daniel 7:8, 20, 25). Through his speech, the antichrist will blaspheme God, His name, His tabernacle (which is in heaven), and His people who dwell in heaven with Him (Revelation 13:6). These blasphemies will go on for forty-two months (three and a half years).

Before long, however, the world’s acquiescence at the antichrist’s words will no longer satisfy his ego. Consequently, he will launch a war against God’s people, the saints, the true believers (13:7–8). For a while the antichrist is going to appear victorious, defeating even God’s people (v. 7). I believe many sincere believers in Jesus will be persecuted for their faith at that time. Many will die as a result of the antichrist’s war. But if there is an outcry from the world at his abuse, it will be quickly muffled, since he will have authority over the entire world.

We know for sure that John wanted us to pay close attention to this part of his vision. He made the statement, “If anyone has an ear, let him hear” (13:9), similar to the admonitions of Jesus in the earlier letters to the churches. John then offered an unusual observation: “If you are to be a prisoner, then you will be a prisoner.  If you are to be killed with the sword, then you will be killed with the sword. This means that God’s holy people must have patience and faith” (13:10, ncv). Continue reading

Revelation 13 (Pt. 3)

Many teachers of Bible prophecy believe that the antichrist himself will suffer a fatal head wound, but if you look at the scripture carefully, you can easily get a different impression: “One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed” (13:3, niv).

Remember, John saw the Beast rising out of the sea, which probably means rising from many peoples. But John used the term “beast” in several ways in Revelation, sometimes talking about the antichrist and at other times talking about the antichrist system, the one-world government system that is against God. Here, I believe the latter is the more correct understanding, that is, this beast is the antichrist system. This one-world government will have ten horns, seven heads, and ten diadems (13:1).

Revelation 17:12–13 tells us that the ten horns are ten kings who will receive power with the Beast for a relatively short time, and their sole purpose is to give their power to the Beast. The seven heads, according to Revelation 17:9–10, are seven mountains on which the harlot rides and seven kings: “Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while.” Continue reading

Who Ya Gonna Call? (Pt. 6)

“NEXT IN LINE, PLEASE!” an exasperated voice somewhere up ahead of Stan called. “Come on, let’s go. There are a lot of people waiting.”

Stan thanked the elderly woman for the bread one more time, then stepped into the narrow lane in front of the cash register, while his benefactor waited in the line next to him. There were no scanners functioning at the checkouts, no calculators, computers, or working cash registers, so every transaction had to be calculated on paper. Continue reading

Surrounded by your Enemies

In the Last Days, the Bible says that Israel will be surrounded by her enemies on all sides (Luke 19:43, Zechariah 12:3, Luke 21:20).  We’ve all seen this play out in the news every day.  Israel is indeed surrounded by her enemies, and we can be sure that without God’s divine hand upon her and His covenant that He established long ago with her, she would have little chance of survival in such a hostile environment.

When the agenda by your neighbors is to “wipe you off the map,” there is little peace or time for carelessness.  Indeed, Israel is ‘on guard’ every hour of every day.  She has a solidarity among her people that is based in survival.  They know that they must stand together in unity and they have united together under Prime Minister Netanyahu to speak with one voice.

Lately, in our world, all of Christianity has felt the same encircling by the enemies of Christ.  The antichrist spirit is at work in our nation and in our world.  Christians are coming under persecution by a world system that is moving rapidly towards not just a secular mindset, but a full-fledged antichrist agenda.  What is the antichrist agenda?  It is to rid the world of Christ and to eradicate all Christians.

Of course, this is not going to happen, but as the Last Days play out, Christians will feel more and more surrounded by their enemies and we will need each other to make it through the offensive this is mounting.  It’s even more important to remember that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities, and rulers of high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

You would think that it would be easy for Christians to know their enemies, and to know the spirit of the antichrist by which they operate, but it’s not all that clear-cut.   Sometimes, it’s the enemy within that challenges the plan of God for His Church and His People in the Last Days.  Have you noticed that instead of a great coming together in the End Times against a common enemy (like Israel has done), Christians today are fighting each other with a fierceness that is very disturbing?

I’m convinced that a major strategy of the devil in the Last Days is to ‘divide and conquer’ God’s Church.  There’s no better way to do that than to convince each group or individual that they alone are the holders of the entirety of God’s truth, and that the rest of the Christians who hold differing viewpoints are all enemies.

In a paraphrase of a famous line:  “We have met the enemy, and he is us.”
